Lepojevic MVP of 16th Superleague round
Nikola Lepojevic received Eurobasket MVP award for the third time in this season! He had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Univ.Surgut and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Superleague 1 Player of the Week award for round 16.Lepojevic had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds for Univ.Surgut in his team's victory, helping them to beat Irkut (#4, 9-5) 79-71. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Univ.Surgut to jump to the first place in the Russian Superleague 1. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Univ.Surgut has a very solid 10-3 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Lepojevic had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 12 attempts. He has many years of experience at Univ.Surgut, through which he has constantly improved. Lepojevic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.1ppg) and averages solid 53.3% FGP.
